花石楼

位于青岛市市南区八大关风景区东侧、黄海路18号，建于1930～1932年，占地面积2295平方米，建筑面积777平方米，高17米。因楼内多以莱州滑石装修，称“滑石楼”，20世纪70年代末始称“花石楼”。由圆型堡垒式主体和多折角楼组成，是一幢融合西方多种建筑艺术风格的欧洲古堡式建筑。初为私宅，解放后曾为接待中外贵宾的馆舍，是市级文物保护单位。
　　Situated at No. 18 Huanghai Road, east of Badaguan, Shinan District, Qingdao, the 17m high villa was constructed during 1930 ~ 1932 with a floor area of 2,295 m2 and a building area of 777 m2. It was also called “Talc Villa”, since it was mostly decorated with Laizhou talc. It was renamed as  “Huashi Villa” at the end of 1970s. Composed of the round shape fortress type main body and multi-fold angle turret, it is a European old castle type architecture integrating many kinds of Western architectural styles. It was initially a private residence and has ever been the hotel for receiving honorable foreign and Chinese guests after liberation. It is also the Municipal-Level Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
